Fetch me a bandwagon, tho i remain unbiased!

hehe I'm so witty!! Anyway, like it says i jumped on the fetching bandwagon, altho given that i am so far behind in this trend does it make it cool again?? oh well here they are:
Super quick to knit, 1st i did in an evening the 2nd was done in the car to and from Loch Lomond!
Pattern, yarn is Wendy Peter Pan DK shade no 1320

Next! Unbiased, again fairly quick, taken me less than a week (can you tell who is in sweater procrastination mode? Sorry Danny) I did it in 2 different kinds/shades of sari silk for a slightly different effect...
I am looking for ideas as to fastenings any inspirations?
Pattern, Yarn: sari silk
Finally Sock Yarn Pron, in lieu of the traditional Easter Egg my aunt sent me this for my Easter:
Much better than chocolate methinks, tho i did get some choccies too! Its Opal Crazy shade 1903, pretty!!

Yarn Pron Friday

First off some v-nice Dannish Cotton that lovely Sue swapped me for kitty bikkies n some other stuff. It shall become the dollar and a half cardi from the Spring IK. Now i blame this addition to stash a) on my SP for sending me the magazine with the prtty pattern and b) Sue for showing me what she was destashing, i mean really after last time she should know better ;)
Next some Sari Silk from toggle, which as i type 1.5 of these balls has become unbiased bag from knitty, looking pretty so far :)

On The Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond

Today me and my dear friend Miss Mavor went to Luss, upon the banks of loch lomond. It was a gorgeous sunny day! first off we made a friend:how cute is this wee chap?? very friendly too hurried over to speak to us.

Very very pretty hence the following gratuitous and potentially repetative scenery pictures
from the beachducks! (yes not scenery but well)
mountains! and a big black car...
Ben Lomond!
We went on a boat trip
I love boats! On the boat we took more pictures!View back towards Luss, inc random big hill...
Looking the other way up the Loch
Up the valley to the North, looks almost like a painting!
More large hills/mountains
Pretty church we wandered round the grounds of (hazy picture boo)
We eyeballed houses we could never afford
Good Loch view.
On a peninsula jutting into the Loch, must be very pretty!!

And of course there was some shopping to be done!
I got these for myself
Coo Earrings! so cute

I got a present for mother
Then finally we went to a random sorta factory outlet place (not terribly inspiring) but i got these:
Book of stitches, always handy and a general how to type book for those extra wee pointers noo and again!

Adventures in Dying

Last thursday i dyed. I was waiting in for parcels to arrive to i had a wee play.

I started with this
Fairly non descript beigey wool.
I skeined it and put it to soak with some salt and vinegar (like having chips!)While it soaked i made up dying solutions, common or garden food colouring diluted with water
Colours are pretty much the same as the glasses apart from the red one at the far right contains purple (can you see where i am going)
Yarn went in a bowl, and dye squooshed on with some syringes (hurrah for science family)
Yarn went in the microwave, then got washed and hung out to dry
Once dried i (detangled and) reskiened the results:

O Canadia! Wheeeeeeeeeee

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY I got me an other parcel from my SP!!!!
Collected it from post office this morning!!
twas a tea themed parcel!! cany get better than that! 2 funky wee tins of tea, ice wine and strawberry maple flavour, a tea cosy (which nearly got utelised as a hat as after the post office i went down the street and it was more than a little chilly), a wee teapot shaped tea ball hoodgy, 2 packs of sweeties: some clodhoppers (very yummy and almost all gone), and some baskin robbins mint choc chip sweeties, also yummy, Interweave Knits spring, which is most exciting as i really wanted the entrelac socks pattern, tho now i also wanna knit the dollar and a half cardi, so thats less good!! and last but by no means least:Patons SWS in a spiffy shade of pinks, me likey!!

Course with a shiny new tea cosy what do i need??

a shiny new teapot!! s'pink!

I also bought my first set of addis to once again try this magic loop malarky given that the needles i was attempting it on before gave up the ghost and needle and cable decided to part company!!

Honey, I'm Home!!

so i have arrived pack at the parental fold, I'm even all unpacked get me! You will notice no cycling as yet, nainly due to unpacking and a little bit due to swearing at my computer, yes its brokwn again somewhere between edinburgh and here the power supply decided to give up the ghost it seems oh well another thing to try and fix!

Anyway onto more exciting things, my new neighbours, was toddling about the garden (plus of being home) when father beakoned me to observe the pond, in which there were somewhere in the region of 15 froggies just casually basking (and a few doing naughty things, discovered when father hoiked them out to try and take a piccie!) anyway these are the best of the piccies i managed to get:

look closely should be able to see frog spawn

Summer Goal!

You may have noticed i have me a new wee progress bar over there <--, well i have decided that seeing as how i will be at home over the summer and have access to both an excersie bike and a real bike/places to cycle, i am gonna try and cycle the equivlent of home to Sue's and back again, just because its a reasonably far away point without being stupidly far. Anyway good old mapquest tells me that it is 830 miles so that is what i aim to cycle by September 1st, watch this space...
