A cardigan, for a babby, the same one as is getting the wee pink booties. My first proper garment and my first attempt at cabling, also i learned how to graft using kitchener stich so hurrah for me. Its a bit bluer than it looks in the main picture, I've also included a close up of the button cos there so cute!

Pattern is http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTtrellis.html and its knitted with Sirdar supersoft toddler aran. PS, Christmas knitting has started so may not post for a while.

Flower Feet

These are stupidly cute i thot so when i first saw the pattern but at them time all the babbys i knew of were male (how inconsiderate of people really) but upon lamenting upon this fact to my gran (she of the knitting needle providing ways) she said that some relation was due to sprog anyday and was expecting a girl. Needless to say i went straight to a wool shop got my wool and started knitting and here they are. Pattern is http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTtuliptoes.html wool is Patons fairytale DK and Sirdar Snuggly 4ply.

Stripey Goodness

A scarf. For my friend for her birthday. Now this is quite the fortuetous scarf as upon finding out i had started knitting and after i had decided to knit this she said to me ooh you can knit me a scarf and i quote "really long like in Harry Potter". At this juncture i should point out that said birthday is her 23rd and she is about to start her job as a Law trainee (ie a baby lawyer). I also figure as she has just moved to Edinburgh it will take the worst of the chill out of the wind. I am most pleased with this and there is a small temptation to keep it but i have plans for a scarf of my own. The pattern i more or less made up tho took inspiration from one on knitty.com. Its knitted in Wendy Moiselle in melon parfait and designer stiches in hydreangea.
